This lightweight coif is crafted from aluminum round rings which have been dome-riveted; these rings alternate with solid flat rings of aluminum. The individual rings measure 10 mm in diameter and 16 gauge in thickness. Aluminum mail weighs much less than normal steel mail and is great for the costumer or Ren Faire enthusiast who wants to wear mail for long hours without the weight and fatigue that comes with heavier mail.
